After all: who wants yellow lenses on a black car?<\/p>\n<p>The accessory trade offers matching lenses painted black. <em>Yet, the lighting power and lense transparency must be adequately effective to guarantee the turn signal function<\/em>.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autopartspro.co.uk\/tips-advice\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Zusatzlichter-6-e1582789264152.jpg\" alt=\"Daytime running lights additional lights\" \/><strong><em>Curve lights and daytime running lights are innovations in the field of car lighting<\/em><\/strong>. For both additional lighting solutions, <em>retrofit kits<\/em> are available. For family cars this is useless. <em>For vans and pick-up trucks<\/em>, regularly driven on country roads this can be an additional safety feature.<\/p>\n<p>However, be sure to check <em>the reference number<\/em> which is embossed on every frontal car light lens. <em>The sum of all numbers should not exceed 75<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The side car lighting:\u00a0few, though useful options<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autopartspro.co.uk\/tips-advice\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Zusatzlichter-8.jpg\" alt=\"axiliary fender lights\" \/><strong><em>Limited options are available for upgrading the side of the car<\/em><\/strong> in the light-technical sense.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autopartspro.co.uk\/tips-advice\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Zusatzlichter-9.jpg\" alt=\"turn signal on the side mirror\" \/>Many cars have a turn signal <strong><em>on the fender<\/em><\/strong>. This accessory consists of a flat lightbox with a transparent plastic cover.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em> The plastic cover is, in fact, the registration plate, evenly lit by LED lamps from within the lightbox<\/em><\/strong>, considerably improving the number plate&#8217;s distance effect and legibility and adding an attractive element to the rear lighting.<\/p>\n<p>There is good cause for hope. The automotive industry continues to find new possibilities for further development of shaping the rear lighting. <strong><em>AUDI<\/em><\/strong> now has replaced its traditional turn signal by a dynamic version.<\/p>\n<p>It is only a matter of time until the accessory trade offers this new possibility as a retrofit option for turn indicators.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Car lighting: Mind the bulbs!<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autopartspro.co.uk\/tips-advice\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Zusatzlichter-12.jpg\" alt=\"Car lighting LED\" \/>Unfortunately, the question of whether something is allowed or prohibited does not end with the components as such. <strong><em>It also concerns the lamps inside turn signals and rear lighting components<\/em><\/strong>. Principally, <em>it makes sense to replace all filament light bulbs to <strong>LEDs<\/strong> which are considerably more economic<\/em>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Their principal asset, however, is their long life<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>They can last a car&#8217;s life span<\/strong><\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Yet,<em><strong> not all LED lamps are alike<\/strong><\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>They strongly vary in construction and lighting power. Therefore <strong><em>be certain only to use approved lamps in your car<\/em><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>What is blacklisted<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autopartspro.co.uk\/tips-advice\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Zusatzlichter-13.jpg\" alt=\"prohibited additional lightings\" \/><strong><em>Explicitly prohibited are:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8211; all signaling lights<\/em><br \/>\n<em>&#8211; Underbody illumination (even on a stationary car)<\/em><br \/>\n<em>&#8211; Light strips on the side.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>as well as all other additional lightings without any function<\/em>. Lamps shining from the inside out are also frowned upon. This can even apply to the small dashboard X-mass tree.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The thin line called car lighting<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong><em>Even if it is tempting to equip the car with fireworks, be sure to move within legal boundaries<\/em><\/strong>. There are plenty of possibilities for external individualisation of your car. What use is being disqualified from operating the car, ultimately making yourself punishable?
