A boot lid is a very useful part. Since the very early stages of car manufacturing, the boot (trunk) has developed itself as a useful component. Sooner or later, most car users need to transport larger objects like suitcases. Theoretically, they fit in the cabin as well. However, a boot is a lot more practical, not taking up any passenger space. Furthermore there is a security aspect, as the objects in the boot are separated from the car interior and will not become dangerous projectiles in case of an accident. The boot lid is mainly found at the rear of the car. This is due to the fact that most cars on the present car market have a front engine. If a car has a rear engine, the boot lid can be found in the front. In the end it is not important where it is situated, as long as it is intact. Through an accident or intentional damage a boot lid can sustain damage beyond repair. In this case a complete replacement is necessary. Following an accident it is useful to subject the car to post-crash measurement because a boot lid will not fit on a bodywork bent out of shape. Prior to installation the lid must be lacquered in the corresponding colour. The installation is not very complex, but due to the amount of required steps of this repair it makes sense to engage a garage. In our conveniently set-up online shop you can find all other bodywork parts for your car as well, like for example a mudguard wing or a side panel. Other important car parts, like a steering gear box, a hand-brake cable or an ignition cable can be ordered with us as well.
